• Hashemite (LD-VT) has replaced Mr. Moderate as District Two Senator.

• CultureKing (JCP-WA) has replaced Ebowed as District Five Senator.

• Mr. Moderate and MasterJedi have been confirmed as Secretary of Forum Affairs and Secretary of External Affairs respectively.

• Keystone Phil and Ebowed have been elected President and Vice President respectively in the February 2008 Presidential Election.

• Re-elected or elected in the February 2008 Senate races: Verily (NLC-NH), Sam Spade (SSP-TX), hughento (NLC-IA), and meekermariner (PLP-VA). The Pacific race is headed to a runoff between the incumbent Friz (JCP-OR) and Xahar (PLP-CA).

• Longtime Northeast Governor MAS117 left office as Governor of the Northeast region after AndrewCT took the oath of office. MAS117 is thus the longest serving Governor in Northeast history serving a total of 16 months.

This Month in Atlasia's Past—August

In 2004, John F. Kennedy begins his tenure as President of Atlasia.

In 2005, the Eighth Senate passed the Affirmative Action Act, which ended race-based hiring decisions for federal jobs.

In 2006, Dr. Cynic bested Bullmoose88 5 votes to 3 in the First District Senate race; Virginian87 beat Ernest by a vote of 4–3 in the District 2 Senate race; Democratic Hawk was re-elected without opposition in the Third District Senate race; Speed of Sound defeated Clay by a vote of 5 to 3 in the second round in the District 4 Senate race (BRTD was eliminated in the first round with one vote); and BrandonW was elected without opposition in the Fifth District Senate race.

In 2006, the Fourteenth Senate passed the Alcohol Reform Act, effectively lowering the drinking age in Atlasia to 18 in all federal territories.
