If you ever venture to Minnesota, I'll get you a proper midwest-raised steak... A New York Strip about 1 1/2" thick... seasoned with garlic, salt, and pepper, and grilled to a nice medium rare.
I got one the other night at the butcher for $7.39/lb. A knife was almost unnecessary.... with corn on the cob that was perfectly ripe and sugary sweet.
When I was in Europe, all the corn I ever ate on the cob was overly yellow, not really sweet, and kinda mealy. You want the kernels to "pop" when you bite them with the warm, sweet corn juice running down your face. It sounds gross.. but its sublime.
