Basically just the question above.

For me it's either a good Teriyaki plate Samoan/Island style with macaroni salad and rice, which we use to get all the time to support the Samoan community at our Church which use to do fundraisers at least a few times a year.

Otherwise, for something a little more 'culturally' close to home for me, peas and pasta. My Grandpa use to make this dish to perfection aaaand it's still the only way I really like to eat peas. Just butter and it's so good.

What about y'all?

A vesper or, in a pinch, a dirty martini (gin goes without saying).

Ice cream loaded up with toppings.

Maybe donuts too (not from Dunkin'-they suck!).

See personally, I prefer simple ice-cream flavors, which is why I usually go for Haagen-Daz over B&J or the others like that.

Voodoo Donuts. Unbeatable. (Well I assume there are probably local places, but for a 'chain'... So good.)

I've always wanted to go to Voodoo.

I rely on Krispy Kreme and a local place called Glaze.

It depends on several factors but ice cream is what I go to most often, as long as it's not too cold.

But in seriousness, tortilla chips. Humankind's greatest invention.

I don't know if I'm working on a different definition of "comfort food" but half the things listed here are just normal meals that I would eat whenever.

I don't really have any comfort meals, but I do have a couple of comfort desserts I ate a lot as a kid and are still irresistible to me. One of them is a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and M + M's. The other is my mother's chocolate chip cookies.
