I voted and I do think it's a good idea to put dems and reps against each other. That gets rid of ideological bias.

We'll see how this turns out. I'm going to watch and see if the reasonable Rep v. reasonable Dem ones turn out heavily one way or the other. If it does turn out heavily one way then I'm going to do the left and right sides next time.

I took the survey.

How long will you have it up for people to take?

Round 1 will end sometime tonight (depending on when I get home from my friends), but assume midnight...Round 2 will be up sometime after that

I'm surprised that Joe Biden nearly beat Daniels.

How many people voted in this thing?

EDIT:
Everytime I click on your link to take the survey, the page that pops up says "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage".  I know it isn't a problem with my connection; is the link messed up?

Link works fine for me. I'm not sure why its not working for you.

http://www.eSurveysPro.com/Survey.aspx?id=17eb1f6e-2f85-43c1-8dcf-7b3b76b52ac4

When I closed the survey last night, 44 people had voted. So far today, 14 people have voted (a lot of ties so far too).

Done and voted. How do you know that people don't vote twice?

We don't. In fact we know for a fact that Antonio did exactly that.

Unless you use a different IP address you can't vote twice in Round 2. I'm using the honor system here. Round 1 you could have, but I hope no one did.

Will post results soon.

Do you guys think the original 64 were fairly balanced? I feel like I put more reasonable Republicans in than Democrats (possibly trying too hard to outweigh my own bias)

Here's my list of unreasonable people who were on there...lemme know what you think. It seems the unreasonable Democrats did better than the unreasonable Republicans.

Democrats:
Bill Cosby (did beat Dick Cheney, lost to Robert Gates)
George Clooney (lost 49% to Gary Johnson)
Ralph Nader (no chance he was winning anyhow, but worth including)

Somewhat Unreasonable Neutral:
Warren Buffet (but he did get 48%)
Wayne Allen Root (Do you think? 25%)

Republicans:
Rush Limbaugh (23% I think he was worth including)
Fred Phelps (16% Not worth including)
Jean Schmidt (21%)

Antonio admitted he voted twice in Round 1. In close rounds like John McCain vs. Ron Paul, that could have made all the difference.

True, but it wasn't malicious. I'm sure you understand.

You do realize that Fred Phelps is/was a registered democrat.

Really? Whoops, I read his bio briefly and he sounded Republican haha.

Neither Internet Explorer nor Safari work.  I'm thinking about downloading Google Chrome.  What browser do you use?

I'm predicting Bobby Jindal vs Mitch Daniels in the final match with John Thune winning bronze.

Can't wait for the next tournament, Hopefully it'll have more people in it this time.

I was rooting for John William Warner and Chuck Schumer (my personal favorite haha). Although I'd take Warner over Schumer for the final match. Schumer can be VP.

Although now I'm rooting for Gates. I did vote for Johnson over Daniels though.

I downloaded Google Chrome and still can't open the link.  So I tried going to that esurveyspro site and I couldn't open that either, so I think it may be a problem with the site.

sirnick, could you do me a big favor?  After you vote, could you vote again with these answers for me?

Robert Gates
John Thune
John McCain
Mitch Daniels

Sure.

Johnson vs Daniels was a tough one and I reluctantly went for Daniels simply because I know him slightly better. I like Johnson though.

I felt that Johnson would capture my social liberalness better than Daniels. I think Daniels will make it to the final round

So, I ended up with the President I wanted.  I kind of doubt that McCain would have made it into the administration, or Thune for that matter.

Can't wait for the second tournament.  When should we start coming up with lists of names?

As soon as you want. I'm not sure when I'll start the second. If people want to do it again, we can start next week.
