Option 1, but I'm willing to accept Option 3 as a compromise.

How will the officer know who has consumed the alcohol? If they find an open bottle in the car, theres no way of knowing who drank from it.

All alcohol consumption should be legal, whether in a car or not, moving or not.

Yes seriously. Let's say you are in the passenger in the car and I am driving. You have a bottle of whiskey in your hand. What's to stop me from taking a swig from that bottle?

Option 1, but I'm willing to accept Option 3 as a compromise.

...I've been piecing it together and it's got something to do
with every look thrown like a knife across a crowded room
Every slow and quiet car ride I spent drinking in the backseat
Every stupid melody to every stupid song
And every stupid word that everybody's hanging on

I think quoting lyrics as answers to questions is usually the sign of the tail end of a phase. Congrats!

Not sure, but IIRC, Missouri has no law against alcohol consumption among passangers.

That only lets the officer know you aren't over the legal limit, not that you haven't been drinking while driving.

People drink beer and drive every day during rush hour. I see it myself on a nearly daily basis.

It's legal down here. Aussies may ban video games and movies, but they know how to drink Wink
