If you want a more centrist Libertarian party check us out at the UAC (United Atlas Centrists), we are socially centre-left and economically centre-right.

I did indeed scope y'all out when I got my feet wet in here.  Your positions were very agreeable, imo---except for abolishing the Supreme Court part!  lol

I'm very much attracted to the constitution's wise reliance on checks and balances, and still a govt. by the people, rather than pin all the responsibility on thunderbolts from god to resolve the tough calls (and make him/herself a focus of out-of-game resentment.)  An in-game Court makes the whole Fantasy Politics much more attractive to a wider audience--and much more self-regulating for the poor GM.

I think the abolishing the Supreme Court part is no longer applicable, I thought we actually changed that a while back but I may be wrong.

Strange, I just checked and we agreed to remove that from our platform a while back.

I'm a rookie here...

I think we should turn to m3talsmith to run for office because he had the idea first and it seems that decision has gained some approval and is getting attention.

Thank you for the endorsement badnarik04. Let me get the party started though first. Indeed, let me get my computer back online so I can finish the platform, then we can look ahead. I do plan on running for office, but first things first.

A quick statement to the Libertarians...assuming they're reading and assuming this is the AFLP HQ...

I think we should endorse Bono in District 2B.

Even though I am not a Libertarian I would like to ask for the support and endorsement of your party in the current District 1B Senate race. I am mostly socially liberal and conservative on economics and foreign policy issues.

Why Bono?

He runs as a Republican, but if you read his platform thread he seems to be more of a Libertarian. Like Ron Paul. Better than the other two running there, Umengus and Migrendel.

Andrew, i see you are from the UAC. I personally view them favorably. When you say mostly socially liberal, what issues do you see yourself to be liberal on?

Buuuuump bump bump....

<crickets>

I take it I'm the only active Libertarian here?

Should we nominate a presidential candidate sometime?

I'd be willing to do it if i could figure out how to make some campaign banners for my sig.

I am staying registered and as active as possible. I just want the management of the party in hands that have more time than mine.

Yeah, during school, I'll have about 1 or 2 hours per day.
Should be enough.

I will take over the position of Chairman of the Atlas Forum Libertarian Party.

Welcome, Dabeav!

You are our 6th member.

Basically what you can do is just be active, vote for whatever candidate most represents your Libertarian views, and get the party's name out. If you would like to run for a seat in the Senate or for Governor, I think you can do that. I believe (although I'm not entirely sure), that m3talsmith is also in your district, so if you would like to run we might have to see about his intentions.

You are the only Libertarian in your region, so you would automatically get our nomination in a gubernatorial race, but you share a district with m3talsmith.
