Senator Begich

Anyway, I heard on the local news that Stevens vowed to remain as a candidate. I know they obviously can't change the ballots now but how great would it have been if Stevens decided that he had enough and Palin decided to run as a write in (as I originally suggested months ago)?  Tongue

It'd look defeatist to the McCain/Palin national ticket.   McCain would never allow it.

Also, if Palin lost, which would be very likely, it would hurt her politically.  She doesn't have the time to campaign in Alaska either, which is essential for a good write-in campaign.
