With the first few results in, it can already be said that the "Hall to win" London rumours were wrong.

And could yet be majorly so.

I never knew his dad was the Rep from the same district as him and Jr won the seat after the dad's death.

The son died in office at a younger age than the father -- 65 y.o. compared to 77.

I'm thinking a good aggregate at the end of the weekend might be PCC elections, and Mayor elections where no PCC and Assembly results for London.

I don't even think my music taste stayed fixed throughout high school... The answer is definitely not, although to be clear I still like the vast majority of what I liked back then; I have simply expanded my horizons.

This is pretty much my answer as well. I still like almost everything I did then, but there's so much more I like now in addition to what I liked then (in both temporal directions). What I dislike in music has remained quite consistent though.

Both, Trump & Biden have massivly divided the Country over the last four years.

Both are awful Candidates.

I wish the the biggest Democracy in the World, the United States of America, had better choices.

Both would likely run the Country into the Ground in one way or the other.

If you think Biden is an insurrection you are sadly missed the boat just imagine if Trump won and Maxine Waters and BLM mounted an insurrection, after Trump won we peacefully protested in 2016

On the contrary, I've been thinking that a lot of these pro-Palestine "Jews" are not actually Jewish.  I am assuming that the responders to these polls self-identify.  Then, I have found that a lot of people with Jewish "ancestry" consider themselves Jewish, even if they have never participated in a Jewish ceremony, and have no Jewish education whatsoever.  I have also found that a lot of people who claim that they are Jewish actually have a (usually non-observant) Jewish father but a non-Jewish mother, which makes them non-Jewish (unless they are actively practicing Reform Judaism; even then, most non-Reform Jews would still not consider them Jewish).  Or even just a Jewish paternal grandfather, because their last name is Jewish.  I have found that a lot of such people, because of a lack of Jewish - or any religious education - oppose Israel, because reasons.

Then there are the several thousand Satmar Chassids in the USA, who are an entirely different matter.

So who gets to decide which jewish people aren't "real" jews? Just curious.

To the Zionists, anyone that dares to criticize the state of Israel. Israel is off-limits in American political discourse, as you'd be label an antisemite by the people backing the genocide in Gaza. Even when the person in question doing the criticism is Jewish.

There’s no genocide in Gaza. It’s an ugly and regrettable urban war.

European election candidate Matthias Ecke (SPD) was attacked and severely injured while campaigning in Dresden. He's now in surgery.

This is the latest, and probably most severe, in a series of similar incidents in recent weeks, apparently concentrated on the eastern states and on left-wing politicians from Greens, the Left, and SPD, with AfD supporters as suspected perps.

September, it's really pleasant weather-wise most of the time.
