Kind of wild that after years of zero news about Barron Trump, we finally have a deluge of information.

How would you like to a long time Florida Republican who has raised money, knocked on doors, maybe ran for office and you get bumped from being a delegate to the national convention by Barron Trump?

I feel bad for him. He's way too young for this, he literally just turned 18. He's been groomed into this and now the left wing is gonna tear the kid apart.

Yeah, because the right was notoriously kind to Amy Carter, Chelsea Clinton, and Malia & Sasha Obama.

Dems left him (and Tiffany) alone the entire first Trump Admin because he was too young and Tiffany had no political interest. Dems still leave Tiffany alone while attacking the three older siblings. If Barron wants to go from non-combatant to combatant like his three eldest siblings, this is part of what comes with the territory. If he wants to be left alone, he can be like Tiffany.

I know nothing about Barron Trump, beyond his age, his height, and that he's named after one of his father's aliases.

But all this sudden surge of coverage has me remembering is that Octavian was 18 when Caesar was assassinated.

One of the most bizarre things I've witnessed was when the deplorables went berserk just because some left-wing accounts noticed how tall Barron is, as if this was some egregious personal attack.

I think honestly he would be Trump's preferred "successor" if Barron wasn't another 17 years from being able to run for Prez. His other kids seem mostly politically inept, especially Don Jr. This is mostly "vibes" but none of them really match to Trump's undeniable charisma. Trump is a very skilled bullsh*tter, while Don Jr., Eric, etc... aren't.

Despite literally just being 18 something strikes me as different about him.

This is going to be controversial, but I actually feel really bad for Barron Trump. For all of my mistakes I've made, at least I got to be a teenager who's relatively anonymous. To be the son of one of the most controversial people in the world is no doubt very hard.

Barron is a clean slate. I don't think I've ever even heard him talk. He has baggage, never gone on the record on policy, isn't on social media (at least publicly). He really can morph himself into whatever he wants. He could turn out to be a carbon copy of his father or he could be a decent, dignified, pragmatic statesman. He already has the last name so that gives him carte blanche for pretty much anything he wants in GOP circles. I can see a viable political future for him

The thing that creeps me out is the subset of online Trump supporters talking about how he has “superior genetics” and “he’s been chosen by god” just because he resembles Trump, is tall, and conventionally attractive.

Not really, he just turned 18 in March so there shouldn’t have been much news about him before

Most people's opinion of Barron is:
"Ah, the tall young son of Trump. He seems a fine young man. He should blay basketball!".

I don´t think he will run to elected office SOON, but it seems that his father has some plans for him in the long term.

Of course this site thinks Trump's favourite spawn is the one people speculated was autistic a few years ago, instead of the one he actually named as an advisor and quite literally groomed to succeed him... and likes porn stars that remind him of her, apparently.

If I had to bet on who the base would pick, though, it would be Eric. The guy is a true-believing kool-aid drinker. Don Jr may go hunting with Congressmen, and Ivanka may be on Lindsey Graham's speed dial, but Eric is the one in the trenches with "Re-Awaken America" religious nuts, not to mention whose wife is RNC chair. Perhaps Barron will end up hanging out with Nick Fuentes and Jackson Hinckle, or perhaps he's another Tiffany, or somewhere in between. But people are reading way too much into the son of a billionaire con-man and a model being tall, ambitious, and into networking.

Melania should have taken this boy and gotten as far away from her idiot husband as possible. Marla Maples kept her child away from him for a reason and as you can see she's not wrapped up in his mess.

Maybe I yearn for the tabloids, but the Trump family fascinates me deeply. When Trump was first elected, I expected Melania would stay in NYC with Barron, while Ivanka would have been the de-facto First Lady, but that status quo only lasted a few months. I wonder what changed.

This is reminding me of the people saying how Trump will pick Rudy Giuliani or MTG as VP.

Yeah Barron is certainly entering politics. Its kind of like the prince inheriting the throne. Would be amazing if we had a Trump, Don JR, and Barron set of presidencies. Although I think Donald Trump Jr is less likely to be President than Barron.

That would basically be a monarchy. Why do you think that would be amazing?

Because Republicans have become a cult of personality built around Trump. Even before Trump lost there were supporters of his suggesting this.
