What has changed with the election of William Jennings Bryan over William McKinley in 1896?

I noticed that your timelines have been getting much, much better. Good job Smiley

Likewise. Though it would be good also Tommy if you included some foreign events and I know some signficant ones will be taking place shortly upon President Lincoln's re-election over Grover Cleveland in 1904.

This is a pretty good timeline Tommy Smiley.

I am curious though as to why Charles Evans Hughes was selected by Robert La Follette as his running mate in 1916? I doubt that La Follette would have selected Hughes. He would have alienated alot of La Follette's progressive supporter base, due to concerns that Hughes' connections to big business.

If La Follette was to run in 1916 as a Progressive, as stated in your timeline, I would imagine that La Follette would select somebody such as Idaho Senator William Borah or Nebraska Senator George Norris. Just trying to help.

Continue the good work Tommy.

Potential candidates, 1920:

Potential Republicans:
Henry Ford
Rep. George Norris
Gov. Warren Harding
Charles Hughes

If there is a Progressive Party in 1920, then George Norris of Nebraska would be apart of it, thus in my personal opinion it is likely that George Norris would be considered a potential candidate for the 1920 Progressive Party nomination instead of the 1920 Republican Party nomination. Just trying to help Tommy.

Newly elected Senate Leader, Henry C Lodge, will have to fill big shoes.

Henry Cabot Lodge died on November 9, 1924 so that rules him out from being Senate Majority Leader in the 69th Congress.

Thanks Conor.

No problem Tommy. I hate to be impatient but what are the Electoral College totals for the 1928 Presidential Election?

In order so everyone can view the results I suggest to remove the status of that video from private to public.

The link still does not work Tommy, as its still classified as a "private" video.

Anyway, I have a few questions for you regarding your timeline. Why does former President Henry Ford continue to seek office whether for the Presidency of the United States or this time for the Senate? Ford seems like the type that would retire from public life after reaching her peaks, that being the Presidency of the United States. Not to mention his campaigns, particularly during the late 1930's, early 1940's would be dogged by rumours of supporting Hitler, which was quite true.

Tommy, I must admit it was an interesting idea to put advertisements from your timeline on YouTube. However, I can assure that advertisements from presidential candidates during the 1940's would not have played music from the Beach Boys, in the background. At least the choice of music in Alf Landon's has an uncanny resemblance to the Beach Boys.

Its funny how Barkley and Roosevelt despise each other so much in this campaign, even though the two men were such good friends in RL, until their positions on taxation issues got in the way of their friendship in 1944. Considering that the taxation issue between two men never arised, surely such a campaign between Barkley and Roosevelt would be a civil affair, and that Barkley would have wholeheartedly endorsed Roosevelt for the nomination in 1944.
