It would probably be a Newsom-Polis-Whitmer showdown.

The class of Governors elected in 2022 would find it too early to jump into national politics.

None would have leads until after the convention when Americans become more familiar with them.

Whitmer, Shapiro, Fetterman, Warnock, Kelly, Beshear, to name a few.

I forgot about Beshear and Warnock. The nominee in these hypotheticals would likely be whomever has the most appeal to black voters, and might give Warnock an edge.
