There are no states that the GOP can't win. In a Republican friendly climate, with a terrible opponent, a Republican could win 50 states (but still not D.C.).
The same works the other way. If it is a Democrat friendly climate, with a terrible opponent, a Democrat could win 50 states (and D.C.).
