Why can’t Israel invade/occupy through the ground? Why must they keep bombing?

"Netanyahu has no chance, most Israelis are done with him."

I told you guys he'd pull ahead again if he wasn't ousted immediately after 10/7. This isn't a fixable country. Also you really have to live in some sort of bizarro upside down world to refer to the Israeli opposition as leftist but this is Caroline Glick after all.

Unless Likud is ousted, it’s time to put conditions on aid. Which should’ve been done decades ago, tbh.

My views on this conflict has changed. I was pro Israel in this conflict until recently as I had a change of heart. The slaughtering of Gaza citizens is utterly repulsive and has to stop. Bibi is a unhinged lunatic who needs resign. His aggression against Syria, Iran and Lebanon has also caused so many people in the west to turn against Israel. This conflict needs to end and their needs to be a two-state solution plan for Israel and Palestine. I now support a ceasefire.

A two state solution can never happen as long as Hamas is in power, why do people not realize this?

Really a two state solution can't happen until Iran is willing to accept it as well. Until then Iran will keep funding whatever proxy in their attempt to destroy Israel. Without Iran acting the way they did, we likely have a two state solution by now

Without Israel acting the way they have, we also could’ve had a two-state solution. Israel settlements have made it significantly harder to split the land fairly and safely between the two populations, and instead of remedying this issue, Israel keeps doubling down on creating more settlements.

This is one reason why I don’t get the Bibi hate- Israel has been making peace impossible for decades, and it didn’t start with Netanyahu.

The death toll lately has barely increased. What’s going on on the ground right now?

Furthermore, the word "genocide" has sort of become a byword in our discourse for the ultimate evil. This isn't true at all. There's no hierarchy here with war crimes and then crimes against humanity and then genocide at the top. Genocide is a specific legal term defined in the Genocide Convention, it's not meant to define the absolute evil. Just because Israel isn't committing a genocide doesn't mean we shouldn't be outraged. I do not believe Israel is committing a genocide, yet still I am outraged! No more bombing of Gaza, no more invasion of Rafah, cease-fire immediately!

The problem is that Hamas refuses to release the hostages alive. Should Israel just give up on them?

I don’t necessarily buy that Hamas has to be removed from power militarily- after all, only a suicidal Ukraine  would support military action to remove the Russian government because of their invasion of Ukraine- but at the same time, anything less than a full defeat of the Nazis was an unacceptable outcome during WW2.

I don’t really get why Rafah is some sort of special red line. Israel made it clear in the beginning that would go anywhere in Gaza to root out Hamas, and the USA made it clear that it would support Israel in doing that. If Hamas is based out of Rafah, it would seem as if Israel should be allowed to conduct military operations there.

Netanyahu has not agreed to this deal

So this means no ceasefire until Hamas is eliminated and Israel occupied the entire Strip, right?
