MN-03, MN State Senate: Kelly Morrison (D) resigned her seat in the state senate to concentrate on her run for congress. I believe the deadline was either today or tomorrow for her to resign and be able to schedule the primary and general to coincide with the regularly scheduled elections. Drops the state senate to a 33-33 tie. Unless a special session is called this should not matter. Shows a couple things IMO, MN Democrats are very confident she will win MN-03 and they would rather not risk the unpredictability of a stand alone special election for her old district (SD45, Biden +16).
