A poll for all of you who hate America

I hate how even though many things in America are clearly and obviously 2nd class compared to things in other parts of the world, many Americans must insist that our's is best simply because it is "American" (though likely made in China by companies HQed in the Caribbean somewhere for tax purposes)

I hate how consumerist and disposable America is.  "Just throw it out, we'll just buy a new one and CHARGE IT!!!!!"

I hate nearly every marketing and advertising scheme put out by almost all American companies.  I mean, there are very few general genres of marketing:

1.  Dad is stupid.  He doesn't understand how much easier life would be if only we would switch to the product advertised in commercial A.  Luckily Stupid Dad married smart, all-knowing, but loves dad's stupidity and thinks it's endearing Mom, who has made the switch to product A and made life so much easier for hte family.  Choosy Mom's choose Jif, but I wish choosy moms would just shut the hell up.  Their kids are getting fat anyway.

2.  The "real men and cowboys drive Chevy Silverados" and tow things like a medium sized building several feet across an inconspicuous construction site commercials... but really they sell mostly to men with "size" issues that haul a lot of air as they sit in traffic on the freeway, but then cut you off only to drive 10 miles under the speed limit until you try to pass and they speed up.

3.  The "you might have this problem.  Luckily pharmaceutical company A has just hte right thing for you.  You should really try to convince your doctor that you have this problem so that he/she can prescribe you this medicine.  Don't forget that a common side effect of this acid blocker is abdominal pain!

4.  I'm so hip and cool cuz I have frizzy hair and live in a studio warehouse apartment with exposed ceilings and cement floors and bought all my cool things at Pier 1 and I'm 25 and making it as an artist, but I simply couldn't live without my wheat thins, because boy oh boy, nothing says "chic" and "hip" like eating a Wheat Thin in several small bites in front of a camera while I pin a new top onto my manikin without a head.

About issue #2. Is the "Club For Growth" really a male enhancement clinic rather than a group of fiscal libertarians and reactionaries advocating for the economic interest of the upper classes?

I am well aware that despite the freqency of this phrase, very few if any people here actually hate America.   The phrase seems to primarilly be used in two contexts:

1) people who are sorely lacking in rhetorical and reasoning skills which find themselves on the losing end of a debate (yes, I think this is very similar to Goodwin's law), and lack even the mental wattage to come up with a clever ad-hominem.

2) People who recognize the first group as somehow managing to be silly, stupid, and obnoxious at the same time, and wish to satirize such behavior.

This poll is intended in the spirit of the second group.

"people here"? As a Swede I can tell you many people do hate America. I even heard a person, filly serious utter the exact phrase "I hate America" only to be assured by another person "I hate America too". It's quite real. Of course, few Americans hate America, but that's kind of obvious.
