What downballot outcome in any race this cycle, congressional or state-level, would upset you the most?

(Individual races only, no chamber control)

My home is 6 miles from NC, there’s some comfort knowing a theoretically queer friendly government isn’t too far

Overall if we see ticket-splitting reduce even further from 2020 it'll be quite demoralizing because it shows "candidate quality" really doesn't matter very much at all and it's all about partisanship. It also just makes congressional politics a lot less interesting, and indirectly reduces ideological diversity in the caucuses.

Stuff like Trump + 16, Sheehy + 12 in Montana or Biden + 35, Alsobrooks + 30 in Maryland with just be so underwhelming.

Democrats winning the Ohio Senate Race as that means they would hold the senate and have a trifecta

Casey or Baldwin losing re-election. Still an outside chance for either.

I wouldn't like it if Phil Christofanelli lost the Republican primary for MO Senate district 23. It's a four-way race, and he has two major opponents - another state Rep (from an adjacent district) and a former state Rep/county Director of Elections (who had run for the same Senate district 24 years ago). Phil is openly gay, but I think that will not necessarily be a detriment in St. Charles County.

It's Robinson by far, for me. Both are psychos, but Robinson seems to be filled with far more hate for many of his state's citizens while Lake is just a grifter.

Dave Williams winning the primary and GE in Colorado's 5th. Which is a very realistic possibility.

I’m personally more worried about Boebert winning than Williams. Ousting her in a primary should have been a lay-up after the scandals and the carpetbagging and wealthy suburban Douglas County anchoring the district, but thanks to the clown car and COGOP incompetence she could sneak by to a third term.

But if she won decisively that would be very disheartening to see, since the better her primary performance the harder it will be to oust her in future primaries.
