Ill probably end up abstaining, but im leaning slightly towards voting yes at this point.

I strongly urge you to vote yes.

I strongly urge you to vote no, for a better Northeast. These folks just want to undermine my administration, while hard working people like myself and Fezzy are trying to get things done.

I strongly disagree with the assertion that I am or anyone else is trying to undermine your adminstration. I stepped aside so you can run. I invite Fezzy to still work hard under this adminstration after the position is abolished. Fezzy is more then qualified to take this post, however I'll be voting NO in the confirmation hearing, not because I oppose Fezzy, but because I oppose the position.

That's just being petty. Vote on your bill because you oppose the position. Don't hinder progress by voting against Fezzy.

I ask those of you that are opposed to this position, to vote for me if there is a confirmation hearing.  If this bill is not abolished, someone's got to hold the position and I think I can get it done without causing problems within the Northeast government or clogging it with beaurocracy.  The job will be done if I am elected.  I ask that opposition to my holding this position stop if the bill is not abolished.  This is your chance to get rid of it so if it fails, just move on. Tongue

Your right Fezzy, I will vote for you confirmation, but I honesty hope that you vote Nay (longshot) on the repealing amendment.

I thought the new governor of the Northeast was supposed to be a uniter, not a divider.  Tongue

The main problem I have is that I don't see a need for the position.

In essence, to quote CivIV:

"The beuracracy (sp?) is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding beuracracy."

I am changing my position on this. I urge everyone to get out there and vote for Fezzy's confirmation and at the same time vote aye on my amendment. If the amendment fails, we need a good guy in there, but get out the vote on the bill to make sure it doesnt fail!

Don't mind him. He's just a socialist who doesn't want a fiscally sound budget like the one I hope Fezzy will produce.

Yeah, the Northeast wasn't as socialist as you thought, eh?

These results are splendid. To progress!

The defeat of the amendment is my fault. I've been very busy and I didn't GOTV on the amendment, sorry everyone. We can still abolish it in the future.

Thank you very much to all of those who voted to confirm me, and to those of you who decided not to, I understand.

Congratulations! I look forward to working with you to bring fiscal responsibility to the region.
