Is the RNC giving up on McCain? The RNC has plenty of money on hand, why is the McCain campaign cutting corners?

The RNC has to bail out the NRSC, which by all accounts is a mess. They have a lot of competitive senate races to defend, and the Democrats are in striking distance of 60 seats.

It's not that many and I'm wondering if the campaign pulls out but the RNC (or some other group) stays in?

Most likely the case due to the necessity of defending Knollenburg's seat. Of course, McCain has never had an actual chance at the state, considering the state of the economy.

I'm still seeing plenty of RNC ads for McCain on TV here.
