I am angry. My favorite councillor in the Val-d'Or city council was closely defeated by a very slimy businessman than I hate.

And TV said than Tremblay will be re-elected.

Do you get Montreal TV?

I'm on RDI who is covering all the province of Quebec, but especially Montreal. Local results for my ciry are coming from the city website.

Any news as to how city council will shape up?

TV and Montreal city website is saying now:

Union Montréal (Tremblay): 33
Vision Montréal (Harel): 12
Projet Montréal (Bergeron): 8
To be determined: 12

Looks like 40 for Union, 15 for Vision, 9 for Projet, and 1 undeclared.

Yeah, the stupid crook would have lost a runoff or an IRV vote. I'm really pissed off at FPTP again.

In Gatineau, both Ducasse and Charlebois lost.

They still haven't finished the count in Montreal. This is like something I'd expect out of an American elections office.

I'm pretty upset Ducasse lost. I wonder what he's going to do now. I'm also disappointed Bergeron lost in the 514. I thought he was going to pull it out in the end, but 3rd? Sad

Ah, the irony: Harel, the main force behind the municipal mergers when she was a PQ minister, thus prevented herself from becoming mayor: she won the pre-merger city, but Tremblay came through because of his greater margin in the new arrondissements. Lucky for Harel that she didn't get her wish to force the very anglo cities into "une île, une ville" as well.

Montreal by arrondissement (which are not equal in population). Tremblay in red, Harel in blue, Bergeron in green.

Edit: whoops, some link problem there. Fixed now.
