The easiest path for Romney to win would be Rudy staying in NH splitting the Indies with McCain and Thompson staying alive atleast in Iowa splitting the Evangelicals with Huck or at least preventing him from rising as much as he did, or having Brownback stay in would have kept both him and Huck in the teens like they were in Sept 2007 prior his dropping out.

I think this take is interesting however. McCain dropping out ads a twist as does Newt's entry.
