I know it's terrible for an Italian fan to do this but, yeah, I'm rooting for the Germans. Bayern and Chelsea in the Final (I know, I know...) would be ideal for me. Napoli fans would at least be able to say that we lost (and, at one point, beat and tied) to the eventual winner/best of the best in our first ever CL.

Oh yeah, congrats Roland!
I just looked up the UEFA 5 years coefficient, and Austria won a second place in the CL qualifiers.

I gave my rest in my post but, yeah, disliking Ronaldo and Mourinho helps.
We are able to watch on Fox Soccer Channel right now.

What does it mean ? The 1st and 2nd in the Austrian league (currently Salzburg and Rapid Wien) are already "fix" in the CL qualifiers if they end up 1st and 2nd after the season is over ?

No. Points from 07-08 to 11-12 seasons determine who qualifies for what during 12-13, so you have two CL qualifier places in the summer of '13.

BTW, as an explanation for you Americans:
After a goal, the Bayern stadium speaker says "Goal for the FC Bayern München" followed by "Bayern" after which the fans say "1". Then the speaker says "Madrid" and the fans say "0" (which they say even if Bayern is up let's say 3:1 and Madrid just scored a goal). The speaker then says "Danke !" (Thank You !) and the fans shout "Bitte !" (You are welcome !")

I always shout the true answer if the opposition also has goals. And "Halts Maul" instead of "bitte".
Then again, I'm not at Bayern. At least they don't feel the need here to shout the scorer's name
three
times. (Cause you forgot the part about the announcer saying the first name and the stadium answering the last name of the scorer...)

Ah yeah, of course, the player's name.
I wonder if they do the same at American Football games. I never listened hard enough.

Very good game so far, I didn't expect Bayern would play so actively. About 3 times better than against Dortmund.

Bayern goal was irregular btw. (Offside Bayern player blocking goalkeeper's way and sight.)
Somehow I'm not surprised.

Duh, I am not mentally ill, hence I mourn every game of Bayern's that doesn't end in a double digit loss.

The Barca bias among commentators/journalists is ridiculous and disgusting. Messi slaloming straight into a wall of Chelsea players is "BRILLIANT!" but Cahill dispossessing him is merely "very good."
