Never Forget the Painting Horse Act
1.
All federally elected officials, at official political speaking events and campaign rallies, must wear a costume of an animal of their choosing.
2.
Failure to wear an animal costume at political events will result in a $50 fine payable directly to the Humane Society of Atlasia for each individual infraction.

For procedural purposes, count this amendment as my own, and we're now voting on it. Hopefully we get to vote on this bill for two whole weeks before moving on to final passage. Wouldn't that be crazy? Who would do
that
?
Please vote aye, nay, or abstain:

The amendment was a joke lol I don't think we actually need to debate this bill, do we? I mean, I know it's a joke and it's nice to have something to relieve the tension, but I think the joke only goes so far.

Abstain.
I'm not a big fan of abstaining a whole bunch but if there was ever a bill that deserved it, this would be the one.

I would like to amend the bill to read, in a new section, 'While the Senate remains committed to its place in the fundamental educational curriculum, we express sympathy and solidarity with those students who find it boring as hell.'

Due to a large amount of time passing, not an actual majority vote of Nay, the amendment failed.
I'll immediately just do Bgwah a favor and open up a vote to table this bill.
We are now voting on a motion to table. Please vote aye, nay, or abstain.
