I think it's safe to say that one of the best moments was watching Rick Santorum go down in 2006. It's mind-boggling that he's now one of the top three contenders for POTUS.

I don't know... some elements of 2007-2009 were nice, but I was pretty uneducated back then and I was some immature high school teen... so, on balance, I think these days are better.

I do miss the old days when the goddamn TV remotes controlled everything, and you didn't need 5 remotes to open the cable, the sound thingee, the TV, the DVD and so forth.

I miss a lot of the people who used to post from back in 2007-2008 too. I may not have noticed, but we don't really get Verily, Speed of Sound, PBrunsel,  and others. Those were fun tiemz.

Oh, yeah, I get that. I've seen posts where Boris and Tweed talk about how great Mark Warner is. 2005 was a dark time.

The problem is that the stuff that Kalwejt refers to is from much, much later than that.
