Obama, obviously. Though Mike "Who do you want to nuke, Barack?" Gravel will always live on in my heart.

Most definitely President Obama. I like a lot of Gravel's stances but am staunchly opposed to direct democracy and am nervous in lieu of understanding how his tax plans would impact government revenue and socioeconomic inequality.

why is this obvious? in the autumn you seemed to lean more towards left-of-capital stances and worldview but since the election season started you've become another pointless Dem hack -- despite what must be your knowledge of the utter failure of left-liberalism in the neoliberal era to do anything but hand the post-War and post-Depression gains of the working class back over to the owners piecemeal.

I'd consider a vote for Gravel if and only if he vowed to release those weird artsy videos every week instead of the usual radio message.

And if Mike Gravel offered a coherent alternative to that, then I would support him. But his ideas for fixing the country were basically direct democracy + the FairTax. He also seems not completely "there", which is understandable for an 81-year-old man.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm praying for another black-yellow majority, and for the SPD to get shattered. It's exactly what it deserves.

I think the race turned towards Gravel as soon as he asked Obama if he is going to nuke anyone.
