5 Stelle?
Doesn't they usually come last in elections, with small results?
Meh, I guess people are so pissed off that they are ready to go for the crazies. Beppe Grillo is an idiot and a scumbag (who said, among other things, that the government is worse than mafia because "mafia doesn't kill people[sic]"). But well, at least we don't have self-defined nazis so far.
Yeah. Guess most PdL ex-voters went for the 5 Stelle this time.
Probably some Lega votes in the North too: those who finally discovered that Lega was more interested in Rosy Mauro's diamonds and didn't have anything else to vote for.
5 Stelle got their first mayor in a little municipalities near Vicenza.
Definitely.
It's interesting how 5 Stelle improved dramatically with a fall in turnout.
Means they're not really attracting people who don't like the Italian system, but rather former voters of other parties.

For a party that was about to perform so terribly and assumed to be very unpopular, recent polling nationwide shows PdL only down about six points. In fact, the most recent poll - released May 3rd - has them down by only two points. Of the four most recent polls released in late April, two had them down five and the other two had them down six. I assume it will get worse with the narrative being "PdL collapses!" but I expected worse.

There was certainly some demobilization of right-wing voters, people who will nonetheless vote in parliamentary elections next year. Obviously, the right isn't "disappearing" as some have suggested.

I'm a fan of the guy that basically runs FLI's youth movement on Facebook. He just posted a status about Terzo Polo being dead. Did something big happen in the wake of the elections?

Link for full results anyone?
EDIT: Nevermind:
http://www.corriere.it/Speciali/Politica/2010/elezioni10/SEAS/amministrative/comunali/20100328000000_2_ITALIA_IT.shtml
Don't understand how it's supposed to be used, though. I can't seem to get complete results for, for example, Genova or Lecce out of it, but only partial results for subdevisions of those.

Casini declared on Twitter that the Terzo Polo is dead; it was useful for the immediate post-Berlusconi but now there is gonna be a new project.

This is a bit off-topic. How are things going with the probe against Vendola for the health care scandal? Does public opinion seem to be that he's guilty or that he's innocent?

He's being probed because he hired Paolo Sardelli as a local chief of surgeons at a hospital after firing Lea Consentino (she had been arrested and investigated over graft allegations). She claims he did it because Sardelli was his friend.

After something like 3 days of counting, Catanzaro has been held by PdL Mayor without the need of a run off (50.08% with centre-left at 42.59%). Local PD is protesting against alleged misconduct during the count in some polling stations.

New general election poll gives M5S 9% of the votes. PdL, Lega and to a lesser extent PD support dwindle. Abstention to a record high at 40%.
By 2013 we'll be like Greece politically.

Silver lining to the fact that the PdL is polling like 19-22%?

It makes sense to me that PdL would get a slight "dead cat bounce" now that they are no longer led by a rapist of child prostitutes like Berlusconi.

I know the Left has sucked over the past few cycles but their 26% is way down from their usual, too.

PD is at 26%, but if you add SEL and IdV the result is still decent (though far from great).

Yeah, when elections roll around.
For the record, I've always been vocally supportive of dual citizenship so don't think that I'm taking a shot at that.

Is dual citizenship illegal for US citizens ? If it is, that's a shame.
