Remember these are made up people (some of whom I made up before):

1. Mayor Mike Saye (Delaware), who ran as an Independent in the last election is now back a Democrat.  he's now anounced he'll run in the Democratic primaries this year.

supports gay marriage
against the death penalty
wants to raise the minimum wage
wants housing for the poor
against abortion

2. Ted Little (Michigan), ran for the Democrats last time.  He's decided he's going to to try for the nomination again this year.

against gay marriage but for civil unions
for the death penalty in certains cases such as  murder
wants help for the poor

3. Alice Sanders (Florida), ran as VP on the Independent ticket with Mike Saye.  She's going to run again.

Her views are the same as Saye's except she's with Little on the death penalty.

Little would win the primary because Sanders and Saye would split the far-left vote

Whats the point of having both Sanders and Saye when their views are identical?

Little had this to say on Mitchell's announcement to enter the race:  "Well, I guess my former running mate is going to challenge me for the Democratic nomination.  I just want to say, good luck Roy."

Saye commented with this statement:  "Now there's more challengers in the race.  It will be a great battle.  I wish Roy Mitchell the best of luck on the campaign trail."

Sanders said: "The best of luck to you, Roy."

Debate from VT:

Moderator:  Now what would you've done during the Terry Schiavo case as President?  Let's start with Mr. Little.

Little: Well, she shouldn't of died since her parents wanted her to live.  I would've had troops go down and stop her husband from killing her.  He should be put on the death penalty.  That's my opinion.

Moderator: Now, Mayor Saye

Saye: I agree with Congressmen Little that she should've lived but I would've jut had her husband put in jail not on death penalty.

Moderator: Alright, now Ms. Sanders

Sanders: I agree with exactly what both said about her living.  I disagree with Mayor Saye on his against the death penalty.  There's crimals that need it.

Moderator: Finally, Senator Mitchell:

Mitchell: I would like to start out by saying I agree with all the other 3 on that she should've stayed alive.  Let me say this, her husband was a terrible man for him to want his wife dead.  He should be convicted.

Moderator: Well, it's been a good debate.  Thanks everyone who came.  Have a nice night.

Little has decided to stick it out, at least, until Ohio's primary.  Sanders said she'll stay in as long as she can.

Debate from Ohio:

Moderator: Welcome all 4 of you to this debate.  Now, let's on with it.  What's all of your opinions on gay mariage and equality for gays?  Let's start with Senator Mitchell.

Mitchell:  Well, I feel that gays and lesbians should be able to get married and yes they deserve to be equal too.

Moderator: Ms. Sanders

Sanders:  Yes they should be able to get married.  They're individuals too.  Since their individuals, than yes they need equal rights.

Moderator: Congressman Little your response.

Little:  Gays and lesbians are individuals.  But marriage is only between a man and a woman.  Gays and lesbians should be able to have civil unions.

Moderator: And finally, Mayor Saye, your response.

Saye: I think gays, lesbians and transgender people all deserve rights.  Marriage is not a union between a man and a woman.  It's for people who love eachother, which includes gays and lesbians.  So, they should be able to get married.  Thanks.

Moderator: Alright let's move on to mental handicaped people.  How would you try and stop discrimination against them?  Since Senator Micthell is a strong advocate on this subject we'll start with him.

Mitchell: Well, I would send a few policemen to help them if they were injured or being forced to do something they can't understand.  I have a brother who has downsyndrome so I know about mental health real well.  I'd also help out in local cases.

Moderator: Alright thanks Mr. Mitchell.  Now, Mr. Little

Little:  People shouldn't try and harm someone with a disability.  That's not right.  I would take serious cases to the federal court.  In local cases I'd still help out local cases just like Senator Micthell said.

Moderator: Ms. Sanders

Sanders: I agree with my opponents on this issue.  I care about the mentally handicapped myself.

Moderator: Now, Mayor Saye

Saye: I'm very liberal on this isue because it's important to me that everyone's treated equal.

Moderator:  Thanks to the 4 of you for being here.  And thanks the audience for listening to this.  Goodbye.

Little said "I did it.  I finally won a primary.  It feels good to win something.  I beat Alice Sanders in the 2-way-race re-vote.  I feel good.  Thanks again supporters."

Sanders said "Thanks for letting me get a huge amount of delegates today.  Now, I'm second in the delegate count, which makes me feel great.  Thanks everyone."
