This thread will be the place where I will make announcements of any kind and where any citizen of the Northeast Region can make any suggestions or voice conern about any topic.  In this time of great tension, I urge all Northeasterners to ask about any problem, big or small, popular or disliked.  This will also serve as the office to Lieutenant Governor Rin-chan.

Lieutenent GovernorRin-chan and I will be devoting the next week to developing a comprehensive voting reform bill for the Northeast as well as a voting reform bill to be sent to several Senators to hopefully be introduced, endorsed, and passed in the very near future.

Well the more we have to work with the better.  Obviously the way things have been going, they don't work.  I'm not saying what he has to offer won't work or won't be good, but I'm not going to wait.  I did not run for Governor to wait.  I will do whatever it takes to make things better as soon as possible.

Congress recently passed a Constitutional Amendment and it has now been handed down to the regions for a confirmation vote.  The voting booth will open at midnight Saturday night and will be open for one week.  I urge all Northeasterners to go out and vote.  I suggest you take your time and think hard on it, there's plenty of time to consider your vote.  The amendment can be found here.

It is with a heavy heart that I must release this update on the Government of the Northeast.  I feel it is necessary to keep the people of our region well informed.  Lieutenant Governor Rin-chan and I have been unable to fulfill our duties this past week and would like to issue a formal apology.  Due to a loss in the family, Rin-chan has been consumed with very important business.  I ask you not to send Rin-chan messages of condolence, because I feel the last thing she wants to be reminded of on this forum is her loss.  Though I have not suffered any such tragic loss, I have become overwhelmed with an influx of schoolwork that should slow by next week if all goes as expected.  The voting on all proposals for the month of March will most definately happen this weekend at the appropriate times and the new thread for April initiatives will be opened then as well.  Thank you all so much for your patience, and I intend to make your wait worthwhile.

I will keep this as brief as possible:  In response to recent events, the capital of the Northeast, New York City, as well as Philadelphia and Boston, is under high alert and increased military presence.  The Northeast will tolerate absolutely no threats of secession and will immediately quell any form of rebellion.  The Northeast is also prepared to aid neighboring regions in their efforts to stop such acts.  In addition to neighboring regions, Governor Kramer has our region's complete military and moral support in maintaining the integrity of his region.

Throwing yourself into the affairs of this state should not be tolerated. I wanted a change and possibly a Civil war but you can't say that you've done much to prevent such actions.

We are well defended and I am safe in the knowledge that our citizens will remain loyal to their government.
