Could what's happening to Kanjorski happen to Scott?  His corrupt record may do him in.

Im sorry but NO Republican is ever going to win this district.  John Kerry won here 60%-40% and it was drawn to include as many blacks in the Atlanta suburbs as possible.  The county that includes much of the districts votes is Clayton county, which is getting blacker and blacker every day and went for Kerry 70%-29% and will likely give Obama around 80% of the vote.

Is there a single member of Congress left who can't be fairly accused, to one extent or other, of that [qm].

I find this very hard to believe; could it be a GOTV ploy?  Honeycutt is a terrible, terrible match for this district; she'd surely be out in two years anyway.  Not to mention her amateur demeanor.

And how is Scott "corrupt"?

From his wikipedia article
Business interest
Since 1978, Scott has owned Dayn-Mark Advertising, which places billboards and other forms of advertising in the Atlanta area. Scott's wife, Alfredia, now heads the business. In May 2007, it was reported that the business owes more than $150,000 in back taxes and penalties.[2] Scott's campaigns have paid the company more than $500,000 since 2002 for office rent, printing, T-shirts, and other services. He has also paid his wife, two daughters, and son-in-law tens of thousands of dollars for campaign work such as fund raising and canvassing. In 2007, David Scott was named one of the 22 most corrupt members of Congress by the political watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.[3]

Scott hasn't been in Congress near long enough to be compared with Kanjorski. I don't know what's happening there, but he's not someone I'd expect to be caught up short after sitting on his ass for 20 years.

If elected, I believe Honeycutt would be the first black female Republican ever elected to congress. However, I think it is extremely doubtful that she'll even come within 10% here...
