What's weird is that she's playing at a usually indie/hipster kind of club that's almost on the bad side of town (BRTD would love it), and yet I thought her audience was mostly teenage girls.

More likely that club simply managed to book her and figured they'd make the big bucks off of teenage girls.

The I Kissed a Girl one is horrible though. I can only watch the video on mute and I always dreaded it whenever it started playing at strip clubs.

Yes, odd enough one of my friends saw her at Warped. He said she sucked live so I guess she doesn't lip sync which is what pop singers should do if they use autotune so they put on a better show.

Warped is for high school kids though. About a quarter of the people on this forum are over 30 and hardly anyone is in high school. (the Twin Cities scene is actually a bit older than most places.)

On a side note related to me asking if you would let your 10 year old watch Milk, one of the woman on there has admitted to taking her 8 year old son to it because she didn't want to hire a babysitter. He fell asleep.

It is true, I think Warped sucks and is a bad venue. I don't know what the age of this forum and Twin Cities scene has to do with my post though.

Ah, misunderstanding of terms. I suppose you would call it a concert. "Show" is the "scene" term though it's always used to refer to something much smaller than a concert. Though granted the venue is big enough so that it could be termed a concert. My definition is basically this: If you're required to buy tickets in advance, it's a concert, if you can just pay at the door, it's a show. Eh, whatever.

As far as why it's 15+, I'm assuming its deliberately to keep the teenyboppers out. Most all ages shows don't feature bands that would appeal to many under 15s anyway, so there's no such requirement. It's interesting though because there's no legal reason it would need to be 15+, like for 18+ and 21+ shows.

I personally think so, and for the most part her personality seems fun...maybe if she wasn't such a gung-ho christian, but aside from that yeah she's cute.

Uh, she's not intolerant or Christian in a bad way at all. She did do "I Kissed a Girl" after all and openly campaigned for Obama and against Prop 8.

Honestly her hair was one of the hottest things about her. She really doesn't do anything for me anymore.
