The Amharic script is beautiful. I'm very disappointed I'm not able to see this thread in its original glory.

You can download an Amharic font from the internet if your machine doesn't come with one pre-installed.

Speaking of fonts...WOW. I just switched from Opera to Chrome and the difference is amazing. I had forgotten how beautiful Amharic is.

For a while some of the ports on my computer were corrupted, and neither Chrome nor Firefox would work. Today I try loading chrome for the hell of it, and lo and behold pages actually load!

The font that comes with the Android is actually gorgeous, IMO. Very clean and rectilinear.
