Good Videos/Articles On The Current Recession

I was wondering if anyone had good videos or articles so people like me who don't have much knowledge in economics can learn more about what our government is doing and why we got here.

It's a video that shows how worked the modern economic system until know. I found it pretty interesting. I tend to trust the video but I'm not an expert to say if the demonstration in it is really honest, if so that's kinda amazing. As no one posted a comment to contradict the talk of the video, maybe it shows the actual working of the system.

Well, the video is about 50 mins long but personally I stayed, the first 1/4 tells about the history of economy and the rest is on the modern system and it's perspectives.
