A dangerous, dangerous group. And I'm not kidding or trying to be funny: the country would be better off without these people. Their pathetic protests today were filled with hatred and ignorance.
How many left leaning protest organizations can you say the exact same thing about?  I'm not defending the teabaggers, I'm pointing out that I hope to see this level of outrage out of you the next time A.N.S.W.E.R. displays hatred and ignorance.

I don't think there are mainstream liberal protest groups calling for the execution of the President, members of Congress, etc. or encouraging armed insurrection.

Read Daily Kos once in a while. You'd find people calling for the death of Bush and Cheney daily.

I read Daily Kos daily. I don't see that. Like, ever. Try again.

Well there's your problem, you think these are mainstream conservatives.

(and I'm pretty sure somebody somewhere has called for the execution of W)

That's the problem though: these people are mainstream. Some of the biggest organizers for this were the Republican media talking heads (Hannity, Cavuto, Beck, most of Fox really) as well numerous significant GOP politicians (such as Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry).

Check the comments to the diaries. Plus, you won't see them now since they're not in office. DUH.

The reason "the left" (I assume you mean Democrats?) find this whole teabag thing laughable is because most of the protesters (like 99.999%) are actually getting a tax cut.

Ah, ok. It's the fight against government waste and spending which peaked my interest. Then again, I've always been like that. Tongue

Watch this video and you will realize that it's not about lower taxes but about the black guy being president.

It's like what I said earlier. Bush made Johnson look like a penny-pinching miser. But since Obama took office, suddenly the big spenders, are capitalists. What I can't figure out is why so many Republicans went along with Bush's big government approach.

They got drunk with power, and said "yes, mr. president" for everything.

Yes, amusing for you.  Probably much more frightening if one is black or an immigrant.

Why do you think every white person is racist?

The funny thing about this is, Democrats were saying many of the same things during the Bush years. I've heard worse names for Bush than I have for Obama.

No but Bush is really the Devil though. These things against Obama are just slander. Smiley
