About this Poll

Blum & Weprin Associates Inc. of New York conducted the random telephone poll for The News and other major Texas newspapers. The telephone survey, taken Sept. 15-22 of 692 likely voters, also found that Libertarian Kathie Glass had 4 percent, the Green Party's Deb Shafto had 1 percent, 8 percent were undecided and the rest declined to answer. The error margin of 3.9 percentage points means each response can vary that much in either direction.
