 By: Miamiu1027 (D-NY) - 2008-10-10 @ 21:11:25

SurveyUSA interviewed 900 Iowa adults 10/08/08 and 10/09/08. Interviews were conducted at a time of extraordinary financial turbulence: The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined for the sixth and seventh consecutive days during the field period. Of the adults, 827 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 692 were determined by SurveyUSA to have already voted or to be likely voters in the 11/04/08 general election. Iowa has 7 Electoral College votes. George Bush carried Iowa by two-thirds of a point in 2004; Al Gore carried Iowa by one-third of a point in 2000.

OK, Iowa is officially in the tank for Obama.

Now that Iowa, Michigan and Pennsylvania are in the tank for Obama, McCain should now just focus on Minnesota. However, putting all focus on turning a Kerry state from Red to Blue at this point in time is not a smart thing to do considering that Florida, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana and Nevada are all slipping away day by day.
