Both surveys were conducted by telephone by the Center for Marketing & Opinion Research, LLC of Canton, Ohio. The panel re-interviews took place between July 17 and August 17, 2008; a careful review the results revealed only modest fluctuations over the field period. Both surveys were weighted to reflect the demographic characteristics of the Ohio adult population based on the U.S. Census. The panel survey produced 753 registered voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points. This survey is part of a broader election year study of Ohio voters undertaken by the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron.
