About this Poll

This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone October 4-8, 2007, among a random sample of 1,144 adults in the Commonwealth of Virginia, including additional interviews with randomly-selected adults living in Loudoun (total=109) and Prince William (total=101) counties. The results from the full survey have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points. For the samples of 504 Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents and 508 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents it is plus or minus four percentage points. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by TNS of Horsham, Pa.
